Our Firm
For
30 years, Sharon Thompson has been providing quality
legal services to a wide variety of clients.
She has been the managing partner of several firms
throughout her career and in 1991, she established the Sharon
Thompson Law Group. The
firm primarily handles cases in the areas of family law, wills
and trusts, estate administration and probate, and domestic partnership
issues.
As a small firm, we understand the value of personalized
service. We will
not put you through an automated telephone maze or shield our
attorneys from you. You
will have direct access to the attorney handling your case or
her personal assistant.
Because of the firm’s reputation for excellence and
expertise, our client base has expanded from the Triangle area
to now include clients from throughout the state. In addition, we are often asked to author articles and speak
at community and legal functions.
The Sharon Thompson Law Group is also committed to public
service and enhancing the legal status of those who are still
not treated fairly or equally under our laws.
Ms. Thompson has previously been a state legislator,
lobbyist for several non-profit organizations and served on the
boards of many community organizations.
Sharon Thompson is also a strong supporter of the Durham
community and has located her offices in downtown Durham for the
past 20 years. The firm’s present offices are in the Southbank Building
which has convenient parking and is located across the street
from the Durham Arts Council and near West Village and
Brightleaf Square.
